大原女-OHARAME-
When we think of traditional Japanese attire, the kimono is often the first to come to mind.
However, there is a wide variety of other garments, such as the workwear (NORAGI) used for agricultural tasks and the casual loungewear (JINBEI) worn at home.
Our OHARAME Collection draws inspiration from the attire worn by women in the Ohara district of Kyoto,
who once carried local specialties on their heads while walking through the city center to sell them.
Though these garments were simple work clothes from a time of limited prosperity,
they were thoughtfully designed to be both practical and aesthetically pleasing, reflecting the charm and attention to detail unique to women's workwear.
