Choosing the Process.
Crafted with Intention.
While many happi coats and hanten are mass-produced through quick printing
for short-term use, we have chosen to reconsider the production process itself.
Our hanten are created in collaboration with shirushi-zome dyeing workshops that carry forward a long-standing tradition, produced using
contemporary equipment and techniques. While supported by modern facilities,
each piece is executed through traditional stencil-based dyeing methods,
carefully drawing out the depth and rich character unique to shirushizome—an
authenticity that cannot be replicated through digital printing.
Our haori respect the original structure,
reconstructed with modern Western pattern-making
to suit contemporary environments. Each piece is sewn exclusively
by select artisan workshops in Japan.
